The heavy scale
Most tees are 160 GSM. This one isn't.

GSM is grams per square metre, the weight of the fabric. Below 200, a tee is light, soft, and gone by noon. We went to 260 because we were designing for twelve hours, not the trial room.
The trade-off we refused
Heavy, yet it breathes.
Everyone told us structure and breathability were a trade-off, heavy fabric traps heat, light fabric loses shape. We didn't accept that. The fluted knit carries its weight in ridges, not density, so air keeps moving even at 260 GSM.

We could not find a tee that held its structure past noon without trapping heat. Every option was a trade-off: soft and collapsing, or stiff and hot. So we spent over a year with a Tiruppur mill developing a fabric that refused the trade, an ottoman knit heavy enough to hold its line, fluted enough to breathe. Every Subtle tee has to clear the same four filters: weight above 240 GSM, over 90% natural fibre, structured, never flimsy, and it has to look special, even as a basic. That is hard to do all at once. Which is exactly why so few make it through.
